Announcement: The West of England Motor Club will organise a trial held under the National Sporting Code, The Trials Standing Regulations of the ACU, the ACU Trail Bike LDT Championship Regulations and any final instructions that may be issued.
Eligibility: All riders must hold a current ACU Trials Registration Card or SACU Licence. Riders from other Federations must produce a licence and start permission confirming insurance issued from their own FMN.
Categories: Group A1 solo machines.
Method of marking: TSR22B, no stop.

Start: Parker’s Farm, Ashburton, Devon, TQ13 7LJ, What3words:pardon.outgrown.swing.
Riders will start in pairs at 1 minute intervals from 8am.
Start times will be allocated on a ‘first to enter last to start’ basis within each Championship class, all riders within the same class will start in consecutive order before the next class is started.
For non-championship classes we will accept ‘ride with’ requests on the entry form, every effort will be made to accommodate requests but please note this does not apply to Championship classes. On this basis where a tie occurs in a non-championship class, ‘furthest clean’ will not apply. Where all other avenues of splitting scores have been exhausted riders will be split on their special test time.
Entries:
120 riders maximum, online entry only via www.southdevontrials.com, entry fee of £40.
Day licences are available for purchase when entering online or at the start at a cost of £10.
Entries will close on 9th October 2026 or when full whichever comes first.
Entries will be accepted on a first come first serve basis, should the entry limit be exceeded ahead of the closing date a reserve list will be taken.
Please note that if the event is cancelled for any reason, including permit withdrawal, an administration fee will be deducted from any refunds. Please do not enter if you do not accept these terms.
Refund policy:
Withdrawals received on or before 9th September 2026 will receive a full refund less any administration/online entry transaction fees.
Withdrawals received after the 9th September 2026 and on or before 30th September 2026 will receive a 50% refund less any administration/online entry transaction fees.
Withdrawals after 30th September 2026 will receive no refund.
Numbers and tyres: A number will be issued to all competitors and should be fitted to the front of the machine.
ALL BIKES MUST BE FITTED WITH FRONT AND REAR TRIALS TYRES, NO ENDURO OR MOTORCROSS TYRES.
MAXXIS TRAILMAX ACCEPTED ARE ACCEPTED FOR NON-CHAMPIONSHIP CLASSES ONLY.
TYRES WILL BE CHECKED AT SCRUITINEERING AND
ANY RIDER FAILING TO COMPLY WILL BE SENT HOME WITH NO REFUND.

The course: The course will consist of approx. 60-65 miles which will include public roads as well as off-road tracks and private land.
The public highway will be used: it is the rider’s responsibility to ensure that both their machine and themself are fully legal for the purpose and that all traffic laws are adhered to.
The route will be returning to the start field after 40 miles for refuelling. There will be approx. 30 observed sections and a special test. Red and blue markers will denote the common route on all sections and yellow markers on the hard deviations.
All competitors MUST give way to horses and walkers and close all gates where indicated to do so. Travelling marshals will report any competitor who is seen riding in a dangerous or irresponsible manner and any such reported rider will be liable to disqualification and disciplinary action.
Insurance: Third-party Road Traffic Act (RTA) insurance to extend your current road insurance for use in trials or competition is automatically included for free with your 2026 ACU membership provided you sign on at the start of the event. This cover is event‑specific and applies only for the duration and permitted areas of that event.
It is your responsibility to ensure that your personal motor insurance policy allows use in competition or trial settings, to avoid any potential gap in cover with your insurer.
Awards: Awards to the overall winner and runner up for each class 1 to 8 with the Chris Bartlett Trophy to be presented to the overall winner of the event.
Final Instructions & Route Cards: To be emailed to riders one week prior to the event.
Results: To be emailed to riders and posted on the club Facebook page @West of England Motor Club Ltd.
There will be toilets at the start venue and a caterer will be present throughout the day.
Camping/caravans/campervans or self-catering is available at Parkers Farm, just down the road from the start.
