Announcement: The West of England Motor Club will organise a National trial held under the National Sporting Code, The Trials Standing Regulations of the ACU, the ACU Normandale Masters Trials Championship Regulations and any final instructions that may be issued.
Eligibility: All riders must hold a current ACU Trials Registration Card or SACU Licence. Riders from other Federations must produce a licence and start permission confirming insurance issued from their own FMN.
Categories: Group A1 solo machines.

Entries:
120 riders maximum, online entry only via www.southdevontrials.com, entry fee of £25 per solo.
Entries will close on 28th September 2026 or when full whichever comes first.
Entries will be accepted on a first come first serve basis, should the entry limit be exceeded ahead of the closing date a reserve list will be taken.
Please note that if the event is cancelled for any reason, including permit withdrawal, an administration fee will be deducted from any refunds. Please do not enter if you do not accept these terms.
Refund policy:
Withdrawals received on or before 15th September 2026 will receive a full refund less any administration/online entry transaction fees.
Withdrawals received after the 15th September 2026 and on or before 28th September 2026 will receive a 50% refund less any administration/online entry transaction fees.
Withdrawals after 28th September 2026 will receive no refund.
Start: Hound Tor, Ashburton, Devon, TQ13 7TS, What3 Words: preparing.verdict.helm. The first rider will start at 9:31am and then one rider every minute.
Start times will be allocated on a ‘first to enter last to start’ basis within each class, all riders within the same class will start in consecutive order before the next class is started.
Classes: As per The ACU Normandale Masters Trials Championship Regulations.
Championship Classes
1. Over 40 – Route 1
2. Over 50 – Route 2
3. Early water-cooled trials bikes pre 2000 – Route 2
4. Over 60 – Route 3
5. Air-cooled Monoshocks – Route 3
6. Twinshock – Route 3
7. Pre 65 – Route 3
Non-Championship Open Classes
6. Non-Champ, any age, route 1
7. Non-Champ, any age, route 2
8. Non-Champ, any age, route 3
At the discretion of the Clerk of the Course and in line with Championship regulations, some classes may be required to ride up a route on some sections. Where this is the case it will be clearly marked at the start of the relevant section and riders updated before the start of the event.
The course: Will be approximately 36 sections over approximately 15-20 miles and include the use of public roads, the public highway will be used: it is the rider’s responsibility to ensure that both their machine and themself are fully legal for the purpose.
1. This event will use the public highway to link various events on private land.
2. The onus will be on the competitor to find their own route.
3. There will be no time constraints or penalties used.
4. On the public highway, merit attaches to a competitors performance, only in relation to good road behaviour and compliance with the Highway Code, in accordance with the Motor Vehicles [Competitions and Trials] Regulations 1969 Reg 5 [C]. Anyone in breach of these regulations will be disqualified.
Final Instructions & Results: To be emailed to riders and posted on the club Facebook page @West of England Motor Club Ltd.
There will be toilets at the start venue and a caterer will be present throughout the day
