Announcement: The West of England Motor Club will organise a trial held under the National Sporting Code, The Trials Standing Regulations of the ACU, the ACU Trial GB Youth Championship regulations, the following supplementary regulations and any final instructions that may be issued.

Eligibility: All riders must hold a current ACU Trials Registration Card or SACU Licence. Riders from other Federations must produce a licence and start permission confirming insurance issued from their own FMN. The eligibility criteria for each class is outlined in the ACU Trial GB Youth Championship regulations available at www.acutrialgb.org.uk, you may also request a copy of these regulations from the Secretary.

Categories: Group A1 solo machines.

Start venue: Hound Tor, Ashburton, Devon, TQ13 7TS, What3 Words: preparing.verdict.helm.

  • Camping will be available at the venue on the Friday and Saturday evening, for longer stays we recommend Cockingford Camp Site which is just a short distance from the venue. www.cockingfordcampsite.com

  • Strictly no access to the venue before 12pm on the Friday.

  • ‍ Strictly no BBQ’s or fires at the start venue, please leave the venue as you found it, all litter should be taken home with you.

  • ‍ Strictly no bike washing at the venue, environmental mats should be used during all bike maintenance and refuelling.

Start time: Start times for both days will be balloted in line with ACU Trial GB Youth Championship regulations and shared in the final instructions circulated prior to the event.

Entries:

  • 120 riders maximum with priority given to those who have scored Championship points in 2026.

  • ‍ Online pre-entry via www.southdevontrials.com, no late or day entries.

  • Entry fee of £90 for two days, £50 for a single day entry. Entry fee includes the cost of a minder/assistant.

  • Entries will close on 21st June 2026 at 8pm or sooner if full.

  • Entries will be accepted on a first come first serve basis, should the entry limit be exceeded ahead of the closing date a reserve list will be taken.

  • Please note that if the event is cancelled for any reason, including permit withdrawal, refunds will be less any admin fees. Please do not enter if you do not accept these terms.

Refund policy:

  • Withdrawals received on or before 21st June 2026 will receive a full refund less any administration/online entry transaction fees.

  • Withdrawals after 21st June 2026 will receive no refund.

  • ‍ Trial4Y Debutant Boys Open to Youth D and E, up to small wheel

  • Trial4Y Debutant Girls Open to Youth D and E, up to medium wheel

Method of marking: As outlined in the ACU TrialGB Youth Championship regulations, riders and observers briefings will be held on each day.

Course and time allowance: 1 course, 12 sections, 3 laps. There will be a 5 hour 30 minute time limit on each day.

Final Instructions & Results: To be emailed to riders, posted on www.acutrialgb.org.uk, posted on the club website www.southdevontrials.com and Facebook page.

There will be a caterer in attendance at this event.

Observers required, you will receive a meal voucher and a contribution towards your cost of getting to the event.
